Burgos - BH react to heartbreaking absence from Vuelta a España: "Many thanks to the organization for the opportunity received for six years"

After six consecutive years participating in the Vuelta a España and despite being the best Spanish ProTour team in the UCI classification, Burgos BH will not race the great Spanish stage race in 2024.

The Vuelta, in a rotation system, has decided to change the invitations it has to invite the two Spanish teams that did not compete in the Spanish race in 2023: Euskaltel Euskadi and Kern Pharma.

Thus, curiously, the two best Spanish ProTeams in the UCI classification at the moment, Burgos and Caja Rural - Seguros RGA, are left out. The Burgos team, however, have taken their absence with great sportsmanship:

"This season we will not be at the start of La Vuelta. Many thanks to the organization for the opportunity received for six years and congratulations to the selected teams. We will continue working to be able to return in the future to this great race."
