British sprinting sensation amongst NSN's new round of renewals - "All ambitious, talented and dependable riders"
Cycling
NSN Cycling Team have announced the renewal of four of its riders into the 2027 season. Krists Neilands, Floris van Tricht and Pier-André Coté join Briton Ethan Vernon in forming a crucial block for the team's future ambitious for the remainder of the decade.
“I’m really happy to be extending with the team," Vernon said in a press release. "I feel at home here, and I’m excited to keep developing as a rider, working towards my goals and being part of the team’s continued growth and success over the next three years.”
Vernon's renewal is specially important as NSN continue to be a team focused on its sprinters. Biniam Girmay has been its headliner in the 2026 season, and Vernon maintains his leadership status in the team with a new contract holding all the way until 2029.
Vernon has won stages at the Volta a Catalunya and Tour Down Under this year, as well as two stage wins at the Région Pays de la Loire Tour. At the Giro d'Italia, he finished on the Top5 of two bunch sprints, whilst the points he has scored put him close to the Top100 at the yearly UCI rankings - fourth best of the team.
“Re-signing Ethan after his victories this season – especially at the Tour Down Under and Volta a Catalunya, our home race – was an easy decision," team manager Kjell Cälstrom. "He only turned 26 in August, so we’re confident that he can continue to perform at a high level for years to come".

Krists Neilands continues World Tour career
But Vernon was only one of four renewals. Krists Neilands, part of the team almost since its creation - joining in 2017 when he turned pro - continues in the very same structure. A previous national champion in Latvia, he has won races such as the Tour de Hongrie, GP de Wallonie and Dwars door het Hageland in the past.
“I’m really happy to stay with NSN for another three years,” he added. “I have grown up with this team and I have always said that it feels like home for me, and that hasn’t changed".
Neilands has at this point in his career raced nine Grand Tours and 14 monuments, becoming a key part of the team when it comes to bringing experience and helping its new signings.
“The goal is to win as many bike races as possible as a team. For me, it doesn’t matter if the winner is a teammate or myself, all that matters is that we are all getting to the start line with the same mindset and the same goal, and this is what the NSN Cycling Team is about.”
NSN secure supporting block
Former Canadian national champion Pier-André Côté was another one of its renewals, signed until 2028. “I’ve progressed a lot in the way I can support our leaders in key moments during hard races over the last 24 months, which makes me even more excited about the next two years with the team,” he added.
“We’re surrounded by great people off the bike, and we’ve got an amazing group of guys to race with. The team has given me the tools to progress a lot since I have joined, and I hope I can keep this trend going.”
Belgian Floris van Tricht, who turned pro with the Swiss team last summer, has also signed a new contract with the team. The Leuven-native is a classics specialist, who continues to perform as part of the team's one-day race block.
“My results at the start of this season showed that when I am in good shape I can achieve some podiums, and I really want to get my first professional victory in 2027. I also hope I can play a role in helping my teammates win races, like when Corbin [Strong] won at Circuit Franco-Belge in June.”

“Extending the contracts of these riders into 2027 and beyond will help us achieve our goals over the coming seasons,” Carlström continued. “We know that Ethan, Krists, Pier-André and Floris are all ambitious, talented and dependable riders, so we’re happy that they’ll be staying with us.
“Krists, Pier-André and Floris may not have had as much public attention as Ethan in 2026, but all three of them have played key roles in important wins and podium finishes for the team. Their knowledge of races from January through to October makes all three of them incredibly important for teammates and sports directors.”
With this set of renewals, the Swiss team is up to 28 riders already for the upcoming season, with two more positions left to fill. Previously, the team has signed Kasper Asgreen, Cedric Beullens, Santiago Buitrago, Lennert van Eetvelt, Artem Shmidt and Jens Verbrugghe.

leedorney02-11-2026 - Watch the interview on youtube. I don't speak French. I do speak English and Spanish and you can hear it in his voice. Years ago LeMond had real personal problems I imagine in no small part because of Armstrong. then Armstrong goes round "full blast" re: LeMond having drinking and drug problems. The same way Andreu was expelled from mainstream cycling so was LeMond. On the positive side the clips of the ride and chatting with old teammates and was good. To seemed like a fun day and experience and good reason brush up his French.atom02-11-2026

- It would likely be a very steep section of 4.1 km, not changing the average gradient considerably, with the climb remaining 10.1 km at 11.8%. It would reach 20% on the gravel. It would start 1.6 km in, and finish with 4.2 km left to climb (before the short final descent)

- bravo! a rider likes jonas needs motivation and he needs to believe in being able to reach goals. he - like anybody else in the world - doesn't believe that he can win the tdf with pogi present. and what's it worth for when pogi is not there? second class victory only. he has checked all three grand tours, so what is left if not retire? the classics! go for it, jonas!Ketterechts02-11-2026
