Benoit Cosnefroy, the former U23 world champion, has set his sights on taking his performance to the next level in 2023 and will commence his season with a bang at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Marseille La Marseillaise.
“It's the right moment in my career and the right year to discover the Flandrien classics,” the Frenchman told CyclismActu.
He further added, “I'm happy to participate in the Flandriennes for the first time in my career, I wanted to discover something else, to go and see something new... The Flandriennes are not incompatible with my profile, but I had not wanted to try it in previous years.”
Last year, he had to be content with only one win in the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec, but this year looks to be different for him. “With the team, we decided that it was perhaps the good year to discover these events. I am impatient, especially that there will be a good team within the team. For a few years, there is a solid base around Oliver , then there is got Greg's arrival. So it's a well-established group and I can't wait to learn alongside these experienced riders,” concluded Cosnefroy.
