EF Education-EasyPost rider Ben Healy has won the third stage of Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali. He beat Domenico Pozzovivo to secure the victory. Mark Padun completed the podium.
A group consisting of Luke Rowe, Antonio Nibali, Lawson Craddock, Dimitri Peyskens, Andrea Garosio, Luca Covili, Alois Charrin, Jhonatan Restrepo, and Patrick Gamper broke away and worked together to gain a lead of one and a half minutes.
With 22 kilometres remaining, the peloton caught up to the breakaway. Mark Padun, Ben Healy, and Domenico Pozzivivo initiated an attack 19 kilometres before the finish line and took a 10-second lead that grew to over 24 seconds in the next 10 kilometres.
The trio was able to defend their lead utill the end. Ben Healy was first to cross the finish line and secure the victory. Domenico Pozzovivo finished second, and Mark Padun completed the podium.
