Baloise Belgium Tour: Yves Lampaert wins time-trial as Mads Pedersen defends race lead

The Baloise Belgium Tour had it's 11.8-kilometer time-trial today in Scherpenheuvel-Zichem which saw Belgian national champion Yves Lampaert take the stage win for Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team.
The Belgian rider rode a very strong course, winning the stage with seven seconds advantage over Mads Pedersen who put on a brilliant performance to extend his lead everyone except Lampaert. Daan Hoole finished the day in third.

They both put each other in the pressure cooker, but JV needs to win, in my opinion, more than TP. - Why would you expect cycling to be different than any other sport? World Tour riders pass tests in and out of competition, so the playing field is as level as can be found in any high level competition.
