Egan Bernal's start to the season is not currently improving. After showing great signs of form during the Vuelta a San Juan, the Colombian's knee injury continues to persist and sees Bernal pull out of the
Vuelta a Andalucia.
Bernal crashed during the opening day of the Argentinian race. Although it had little or no impact at the time, in the final day Bernal was not at the start of the race despite having climbed to an overwhelmingly positive fourth place in the overall classification. Although the
team initially talked about how there was no concern, his planned schedule is now being delayed.
