Arnaud Démare had his time with Groupama-FDJ end last summer abruptly, and he found leadership and support at Arkéa-B&B Hotels. Now, he begins the 2024 with the same goal as 2023: to reach 100 professional wins.
“He already won two races last year, in his first months with the team. Now it is important to get the sprint train fully on track for 2024," Didier Rous, manager of Arkéa, said in a press release. “Arnaud is already used to racing with Miles Scotson, which is a big advantage to implement everything. It is a matter of further perfection. Arnaud knows that a lot is at stake, both for him and for the team. His goal is to record 100 professional victories. We will support him in this.”
Démare joined the French team in the first of August as the transfer market began. He quickly found his way within the World Tour outufit and has since become it's leader and most important figure. The Frenchman was fourth at the BEMER Cyclassics, but later in the year won consecutively the Tour of Vendée and Paris-Bourges.
