Five stages of the
Tour of Britain have been contested and all five have been flat and, except for the last one due to an attack by Wout van Aert in the last kilometer, the rest have been decided by sprint.
Fernando Gaviria did not finish higher than 30th in any of the five stages.
The Colombian sprinter was in the
Movistar Team's pre-list for the Vuelta a España, but was finally taken off of the final '8' and, seeing his form on British soil, it is not surprising. Jumbo-Visma is dominating the race with authority so far, having won all the stages: the first four thanks to Olav Kooij and the last one, as mentioned above, thanks to van Aert.
