American sprinter Luke Lamperti wins Czech Tour's opening sprint

Soudal - Quick-Step has signed a batch of young riders into this season and has seen it's young sprinter Luke Lamperti take his first win in team colours today at the Czech Tour. The American rider was the fastest in the opening bunch sprint of the race and also takes on the leader's jersey.
Stage 1 of the race ended with a bunch sprint in Ostrava and it was a victory for the 21-year old, who beat to the line Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL's Pavel Bittner and Israel - Premier Tech's Itamar Einhorn. He will have more chances to succeed over the next few days, but the team is also backing up Julian Alaphilippe who is here preparing for the Olympic Games.
