Stage 2 of the
Tour de Suisse Women delivered quite a lot of action, with a hilly course that made differences in the overall classification. From the breakaway,
Amber Kraak took the victory whilst Demi Vollering and Marlen Reusser shed time to their rivals.
The two main riders in the overall classification saw both Elise Chabbey and Katarzyna Niewiadoma work - together with Mavi García - to take back 30 seconds in the overall classification, closing down the gap slightly to the two main favourites to win the race. Kraak put in a stellar performance over the 164-kilometer long stage to take a solo win, whilst Marta Lach rode to second place on the day.
