Alpecin renews with Mathieu van der Poel's team. Deceuninck? Could be replaced by Premier Tech!

Alpecin-Deceuninck will change its identity in 2026, as much is becoming clear. Alpecin will continue to occupy the first of the two title sponsor slots, renewing a sponsorship deal that runs since 2020 and will continue to do so until at least 2027. On the other hand, Deceuninck is not expected to do the same, and will disappear from the name barring a surprise. The brand to take up it's space will be a familiar name it seems - Premier Tech.

In an official statement, the team confirmed the extension of the agreement with Alpecin, its main sponsor, for two additional seasons, with the possibility of extending the partnership for a third year. The German brand thus reaffirms a consolidated relationship based on mutual trust.

During this period, Alpecin has accompanied the growth of the team in all its disciplines, contributing to a stable and professional environment based on shared values and a long-term strategy.

CEO and Managing Partner of the Dr. Wolff Group, a structure behind Alpecin, Eduard Dörrenberg emphasized the strength of the alliance and the sense of continuity offered by this renewal: "For six exceptional years, our partnership with the team has demonstrated what is possible when shared ambition, trust, and performance guide every step forward. Renewing our commitment for an additional two years, with an option for a third, reflects our strong belief in the team’s vision and in the values we have built over time. We look forward to shaping the next chapter of this journey side by side."

Team managers Philip and Christoph Roodhooft stressed the importance of this support for the future stability of the project: "Alpecin has been an important part of our structure for many years, and we appreciate the trust they continue to place in us. Their renewed commitment gives the organisation clarity and continuity, allowing us to plan ahead and keep strengthening our foundations. We value the relationship we have built together and are pleased to continue our cooperation."

For now, Premier Tech is the strong favorite to join a team that would be called Alpecin-Premier Tech. But nothing has been confirmed yet on that part, however the partnership would make sense.
