Alejandro Valverde leads stacked Movistar Team at Coppa Agostini

The Movistar Team has announced its list of participants for the first of the four Italian races that will see Alejandro Valverde's farewell. This is the Coppa Agostini, which will take place this Thursday, September 29.
The Murcian will be accompanied in the Movistar Team by his faithful companion (also from Murcia) José Joaquín Rojas, Enric Mas, Alex Aranburu (one of the favorites for victory), Einer Rubio, Matthias Jorgenson and Jorge Arcas.
We remember that after the Coppa Agostini this coming Thursday, Valverde will ride the Giro dell'Emilia on Saturday October 1, the Tre Valli Varesine on Tuesday October 4 and will say goodbye to professional cycling with his friend Vincenzo Nibali on Saturday October 8 at Il Lombardia, a Monument that he has never managed to win throughout his career.
Alejandro Valverde has been 3 times second in Il Lombardía (2012, 2013 and 2019), once fourth, another time fifth and another time sixth. He up to three times he has hit the post. Will he achieve victory in the last race of his life at 42 years old?
