After a string of bad luck for Visma-LAB, there's good news too as Jan Tratnik should be fit to race Tour of Flanders

Jan Tratnik had to leave Gent Wevelgem early. The Slovenian was only added to the start list at last minute after Per Strand Hagenes' injury, but his day on the bike did not last long. Afterwards, the team management confirmed that Tratnik fell on his head, but luckily the damage sustained seems to have been minor.

The winner of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad crashed about 160 kilometers from the finish, after which he was forced to retire. For Visma | Lease a Bike continues to have bad luck. The team previously had to deal with Hagenes' nose injury, Christophe Laporte's illness and Dylan van Baarle, Wout van Aert and Tiesj Benoot also suffered injuries during the E3 Saxo Classic.

After Gent-Wevelgem, WielerFlits spoke with sports director Maarten Wynants of Visma | Lease a Bike about Jan Tratnik. "Jan was in a very bad condition and had fallen on his head," he explained. "But after a while he was able to get up and ride to the bus. All in all, it wasn't too bad, he says. The Tour of Flanders is not in danger for him."
