At the place where Primoz Roglic in the all-decisive Giro d'Italia time trial up Monte Lussari dropped his chain a memorial plaque has been placed. Two of the Giro d'Italia winner's fans rode up the climb last week to commemorate a momentary failure which resulted in Roglic's arguably greatest success.
"27.05.2023 At this place his chain came off," the sign reads.
The plaque says " Na tem mestu se je snel s ketne".that has a double meaning the direct more polite translation is the one above. But the real meaning of this sentence in slovenian sleng woud be "At this place he went Berserk". And he did:-)
actually it says: "At this place he got break loose of the chain" phrase, double meaning :D
