19-year-old Brit Matthew Brennan has stormed to his professional win at Grand Prix de Denain 2025. The Team Visma | Lease a Bike prospect sprinted to the win from a reduced bunch in the finale.

Four riders forced their way into the day's breakaway, those being Rory Townsend, Aaron Gate, Quentin Bezza and Kevin Avoine. By 54km to go though, the break had been swallowed up by the bunch already, with the attacking and fighting immediately resuming at the front. Because of the attacks, heading into the last 25km, an elite group of 10 was around 40 seconds clear of the next chase group. Among those at the front were Matthew Brennan, Florian Vermeersch, Dries De Bondt, Dries van Gestel, Gianni Vermeersch, Alec Segaert and Tibor del Grosso.

By 5km to go, just eight of the lead group remained out front, with their advantage over the chasers still around 40 seconds. They were still together inside the final kilometre too, and in the sprint for the line, it was Team Visma | Lease a Bike's Matthew Brennan that powered to the win ahead of Gianni Vermeersch and Dries de Bondt.
