- I did insinuate they all got there differently, Remco got real good real fast, Healy has taken his time to mature, it’s what I’m always saying, every riders develops differently, some very, you cannot predict it. Sure it’s not a perfect comparison, but there are very few others that age that were pitted against each other then. What you forget to consider though is that Remco was already double world champion the year after so he couldn’t have been crap. He also, by the way, ran a 1:16 semi aged 16.
- Not sure you stay so fit and healthy after a career like that. If you look at some of the past champions ageing and do a survey of age at death, it doesn’t seem worth following their footsteps. How many reached 100?
- He’s totally right to question it all, there’s so much pressure on him and Jonas to battle each other these days, it’s starting to look a bit like the freak shows of old-fashioned circuses. It would be a statement if they had a good discussion once back to normal and announce simultaneous retirement in a few years.
- Great Tour, congratulations Oscar!
- he looked totally cooked at the FLeche at the top of the Mur when he won it
- Congratulations Ben and EF, great Tour for you guys! It was a pleasure seeing you on the roads!
- apparently its simply a faster bike - many UAE riders were on it for much of the tour...read a piece where the aero advantage is significant up to about 6-7% climbs, so if you consider how few KM were above 7%, riding the aero bike makes total sense, esp if the weight penalty is low which apparently it is.
- No video?
- He was tired at the Worlds in 2023. Overcooked himself coming back from LBL.
- Tadej could stop today and still be one of the greatest cyclists in history. Anything more is just icing on the cake.
