As an American, you have to make a choice. You can either be a Lance fan or you can be a Lemond fan. The two are diametrically opposed. The reality is that Tour coverage in the US is exclusive to NBC. NBC has chosen to propagate the narrative of the largest fraud in sport. It was vindicating to see Greg on the podium with Tadej. It was perhaps the best middle finger to the idea that we have to believe the lies of a serial cheat and its establishment. Vive la France, vive le tour, vive Greg Lemond.

Fraud is the most accurate description of Lance. It’s most probable the public never witnessed an authentic performance from Lance through his entire career.

This is like having Pete Rose as a pundit. The hygiene standards are low at nbc. American viewers think that they have to listen to this filth because there are no other options as NBC has exclusive rights. But it’s super easy to geta vpn to watch the tour with hbo max or flobikes. We don’t have to listen to frauds trying to white wash their careers.

My response was an over simplification. There was also David Walsh, Paul Kimmage, Lance’s soigneur, the entire us postal team and their spouses who spoke out against this fraud…. The fact is that LA is a national embarrassment in addition to his bullying, intimidation and fraud. No amount of what-aboutism can change what he and Bruyneel orchestrated. Why would anyone defend this behavior?
