Hardly. Doing some good times in training with fresh legs and no pressure isn't doing it in the third week of a tour with fatigue and stress and screaming fans and all the rest of it. I wish him all the best luck this year but he's never done a 3 week race before, I expect a capitulation at some point. Articles like this only set him up for some sort of "failure" based on unrealistic expectations.

I like your optimism... I'm hoping for Lipo (gotta be consistent if you support the Red Bull F1 team) but Vingegaard is my second choice

I'm surprised he doesn't have to take a mandatory Gardening Leave before joining a competitor.

Gosh, I’d love for you to be right. My gut says he won’t… but I’d be thrilled for Jonas to prove me wrong. If we get a repeat of the TdF 22’, I’ll cry. That was the best TdF I’ve ever seen (IMO).

25, Pogi/UAE dominates, Visma's fault. 26, Jonas/TVL dominates, Visma LEASE A BIKE's fault.

Jonas and Visma had a great plan and they executed it flawlessly, but they were never (proverbially) punched in the face during the Giro. I'm looking forward to The Tour to see how Jonas and Visma respond when Pog and UAE inevitably deliver that proverbial punch to the face.
