Van Vleuten and Lippert lead Movistar Team in the Giro Donne

Excitement intensifies in women's cycling as the second grand stage tour approaches. The 2023 Giro d'Italia Donne will take place from June 30 to July 10, and the team aiming to battle Demi Vollering's SD Worx is Annemiek van Vleuten's Movistar Team.

As expected, the Dutch cyclist is the firm candidate to win the 2023 Giro d'Italia and her participation has been confirmed. It will not be easy, however, because the route is not hard at all and it does not adapt to its characteristics. In fact, she is better suited to the German Liane Lippert, who has not had a great season so far and should make a leap forward in the Giro Donne.

The Movistar Team roster that will seek to defend Annemiek's title in the Giro d'Italia Donne is made up of:

Annemiek Van Vleuten, Paula Patino, Liane Lippert, Floortje Mackaij, Sara Martin, Biannic Aude and Sheyla Gutierrez.

With such a powerful team, the Movistar Team is shaping up to be one of the main contenders in the 2023 Women's Giro d'Italia. The combination of the experience and talent of riders such as Van Vleuten and Patiño provides great strength to the Spanish team, which will seek to maintain her dominance in women's cycling and take the title in this important race. Fans will be looking forward to witnessing the performance of these outstanding cyclists on the challenging stages that await them at the Giro d'Italia.
