- Just seeing the article heading I thought, something doesn't smell right. Mathieu afraid of strong riders? After reading the article it still smells a bit fishy, but I guess there might be other valid reasons.
- The Danish Anchovy and the Belgian Mustafa-Remco are the biggest losers of the decade in just one month (February 2026). Both of them realized the fact that they no longer have any chance of winning a serious race. If the TT is such a serious preference in road cycling, then f*** cycling, I'll start watching curling or darts.
- Hey leedorney, Remco Mustafa and the rat Ayuso are the biggest liars in the peleton... and they always have the "best" excuses (low seats, bee stings, cramps, air conditioners, sleepless nights, mental struggles, Allah, Pogi). 😩😩😩
- I think his arguments are good. I would never trust training data to an outside body. How long a person rides, what heart rate, power, etc. It is giving away a team’s secret sauce.
They need to test better and have better biological passports.
Get upstream to the providers.
And not only punish riders but punish managers and sponsors.
- Let me tell you fools what Remco said before the race on Jebel Hafeet : "I'm definitely going for the stage today. That's the most important thing. The final podium is a nice bonus for me. The foot of the climb is only 10 kilometers from the summit, so you can't do much with 25 minutes to spare. I know I can perform good, having finished second up to winning the overall back in 2023. Three years later, I am considerably a stronger climber."
PS: And once again Remco "shoot's" himself in the head...and stupid fools are still making excuses in his name. Don't insult my intelligence!!!
- Not to mention that he didn't exactly blow everybody away in the TT, as many seem to imply.
- Oh, a minute behind. I didn't know that. Even in his prime, that is too far behind.
- That’s what I tried to convey with my ;-)
- Seeing as it’s extremely rare for training to include efforts as long and intense as in racing, I’d say you’re right. That said, you can’t just swallow that without having trained to do so so at some point they do train with that kind of intake.
Except for a few riders most of the time, it’s very difficult to always be at your expected level, almost every rider has unexpected dips.
- He MVDPed MVDP at the Olympics, the guy that Pogged Pogi at the WC.
But, let me help you state your point better, please complete:
