Currently the Slovakian is back in the USA in order to prepare for the final section of his season, however he is likely to return to Europe and race the E-MTB World, which were conquered by Tom Pidcock back in 2020 showing the current trend in the discipline. The race will take place on the 26th of August, two days before the Bretagne Classic where Sagan is scheduled to race.
The motivation to ride this event is said by Gazzetta dello Sport to also be influenced by Specialized, of which he is one of the main figures. Although the World championships seem too complicated for the
TotalEnergies in his current form, Sagan will be building his form towards Wollongong, having a string of one-day races beforehand, all at World Tour level.
