  MVdP had Pellizzari covered, but del Toro almost timed his attack perfectly. Just being in the frame with MVdP is highly impressive, but del Toro was actually closing on MVdP to the line. Positively exhilarating!

  I was not a fan of Serieys, especially after he kicked Lavenu out (I'm still not a fan) but he has made the team better. A bit like Brailsford

  He should stay for this year and maybe another year, he needs to develop for grand tours without a lot of pressure, he's very young, if he plans on being a super domestique he should go now and take the money.

  I see 1 and 3 as the reasons why he shouldn't do the Tour. Even if 'pressure rolls off him' when Pogačar drops him at the Tour or if he holds on for a bit longer, the pressure will increase tenfold. I see 2 as the reason why he should go to La Vuelta (although the Canadian classics are on his programme) where he'd have a genuine shot at victory.

  No he’s not, he’s just a small pawn in a bigger game, pretty replaceable actually. He probably doesn’t realise it though.

  You’re in a nice position to be able to joke about it all, best hope it will always be that way. As for always presenting oneself as a victim, I don’t think you’ve thought very deeply about that one or which side (in that particular setup) is better or would win the medal for it.
