- The truth is, the worlds best sprinters let Cavendish win his last race, so they could get rid of him. He was like a fly, annoying and causing additional tension on the sprint finishes. And yes, he also had a big mouth...in the past also, always bitching about this and that, for no reason at all. A typical englishman.

- He was in a catch 22, help one lose to the other, help the other lose to the first. Every team had a winning strategy as long as no other team trumped theirs. Only point of interest would have been to listen in to pre-race team talks to see how much of this was forecast or prepared.
