- I was going to write something this oddly pedantic, so good job on beating me to the punch! -An Economist
- So, he changed his mind. Now, he wants to ride Vuelta.
- Did the author not know that Pidcock said that he probably won't go for Vuelta recently?
- What a delusional comment! Following a similar reasoning, riders classified from 2nd and 6th places, distanced respectable 4 to 8 minutes from Simon, had poor performances. Should Pogy and Jonas have been competing, those differences would have ballooned. Right fellow?
- There is no comparison. Jonas has beaten the Goat of this Time Pogi when he was said to be unbeatable, twice in the most grueling competition. Pedersen has not even beaten MVDP let alone Pogi head to head in monuments, his terrain
- Pidcock has talent, but unless he decides to do only high end road races and stop doing Mountain bikes, CX and such he isn't a big threat to the main riders if they come in on form. He needs to dedicate his training to road bike only. If he rides anything else make it very little and not something like the Olympics (which I understand) but shows that to win a top GT you have to train to win a GT. Not MTB or CX races.
- To do or not to do GC that is the question which he and his team does not know the answer while everyone else knows he is not a credible GC rider
- He was in the mix, just first time in a while he has the legs and uses them up with suicide moves etc
- What a delusional bloke! Talking about fighting for the overall while being 13 minutes down the GC. It’s evident that his crash into the parked bus damaged not only his performance but brain as well. With Jonas as the best GT rider and other top GT GC riders absent, the gap was 13 minutes. Otherwise it would have been more than 20 minutes...
- That would make Wout worth about 9.4 million in gold as of today. His current salary is about 3.8 million, so write him a 5.6 million bonus check...
