Sanne Cant put in a battling performance at the Azencross Loenhout, finishing second behind Marion Norbert Riberolle despite a hard fall during the race.
Reflecting on the incident, Cant shared her experience after the race, “I fell quite hard, so I’m especially happy that I arrived today. It was quite tricky next to the material zone with very deep ruts. I shot out of one of those ruts and rode into a pole. That wasn’t too bad, but then I fell with my leg on my own handlebars. That really hurt, I basically rode with one leg after that.”
Despite the injury, Cant persevered, refusing to give up. “That's not my thing. I tried to hold on, but it didn't go so smoothly anymore,” she admitted.
When asked about the potential impact of her fall, Cant expressed concern. “It's hard to say whether this will have lasting consequences. But I actually fear that the pain will get a bit worse,” she said.
