Baloise - Trek Lions' Lucinda Brand has powered to a dominant victory this Saturday afternoon at Exact Cross Sint-Niklaas, leading from the opening pedal stroke right to the finish line.
Wasting little time, Lucinda Brand fired off from the flag drop and quickly set about building her lead at the front of the race. With just a lap gone, the Dutchwoman was already 16 seconds clear. After two laps, it had risen to 27 seconds over Laura Verdonschot.
As Brand continued to accelerate towards a dominant victory, the battle for the rest of the podium was an intense one. In the end, it was Verdonschot and Annemarie Worst who made sure they would join Brand on the final podium celebrations.
