Gerben Kuypers beats Jens Adams to secure victory in CX Essen

Gerben Kuypers has won the Exact Cross Essen. He beat Jens Adams and secured his sixth victory of the season.
Gerben Kuypers started with a nice lead, with Emiel Verstrynge chasing after him. Van De Putte and Yorben Lauryssen followed in their footsteps. Jens Adams was trying his best to join the duo at the front, but the mud was not making it easier.

Clément Horny was leading by the fourth lap, but Kuypers and Verstrynge were not going down easily. Adams was allowed to join the group, but he fell in the muddy section and slipped behind the trio.
Kuypers was back in the lead in the next lap as Verstrynge encountered a flat tire. Adams surprised everyone and quickly snatched the second position from Verstrynge. He even shortened the gap to less than 25 seconds. Kuypers crossed the finish line first and secured the victory. Jens Adams finished second and Emiel Verstrynge took the bronze.
