Stybar will have an important role in the Australian team, which he has discussed aswell: "Of course, the Belgium Classics will be key events for me and I am looking forward to competing there with my new colours, but I’m also ready to help younger riders in the team and share my experience and knowledge with them."
This season Stybar struggled with form, until August when he was again in contention for a few races. Most importantly, he has over a decade of experience in the cobbled classics, and brings in firepower that otherwise was rare within BikeExchange in the terrain for the last few years, where he may have a position of leadership and possible new motivation after a whole 11 seasons with
Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team.
