Remco Evenepoel is very frequently undergoing doping tests however yesterday at the Vuelta a Espana he was visibly upset after the stage, as he was selected for a random check after the tough day on the road.
Looking to recover from the second day out in the rain in Barcelona, Evenepoel looked to get out of the streets and into the team bus right away. That wasn't the case however, he was called for an anti-doping test. "You test me three times a week," he said visibly emotional in footage captured by Het Nieuwsblad.
Today's stage into Andorra will be an important day for the overall classification, the race finally leaves Barcelona after two days of tense and very controversial racing, but they won't find a nice path into the Pyrenees as the first snow of the season as fell in Andorra yesterday exactly.
Cold temperatures, strong wind and some rain will make for another tense and rough day in the peloton, with the summit finish in Arinsal an important test for Evenepoel's form.
