World Cup Maasmechelen Cyclocross - Startlist, Map, Favorites, how to watch live and on TV Mathieu van der Poel in the USA and UK

Round 10 of the cyclocross World Cup will take place this Saturday, January 24th, in Maasmechelen. Mathieu van der Poel will be in the race where he is expected to virtually confirm his World Cup win, as the World Championships loom closer and closer. We take a look at the startlist of the race; favourites; and where to watch it online, on TV, in the USA and UK.

It is a fast track, one that is very technical but also involves a few sand sectors, with the climbs not being crucial for the circuit. After a few extremely cold and even snowy races, the weather is now more regular, and it should lead to a regular cross.

The women's elite race will start at 13:40CET and should end at approximately 14:30CET. The men's race begins at 15:10CET and should end at around 16:15CET.

The race will be broadcast on Eurosport and HBO Max/Discover+ as is usual, as well as the UCI's Youtube channel live. Furthermore this race will be broadcast in:

Mathieu van der Poel is going to be the man to beat and it's hard to imagine anyone is going to be able to come close to him, as he is now having his full preparation towards the worlds complete, and the course just doesn't throw in obstacles that are going to put him in more struggle than his rivals.

The Dutch also have Joris Nieuwenhuis, Tibor del Grosso, Lars van der Haar, Mees Hendrikx, Ryan Kamp and Pim Ronhaar; the Belgians have Thibau Nys, Michael Vanthourenhout, Niels Vandeputte, Toon Aertss, Jente Michels and Joran Wyseure present.

Martin Groslambert, Kevin Kuhn, Felipe Orts, Cameron Mason, Andrew Strohmeyer and Gioele Bertolini are all present as the riders are now a week away from the World Championships only.

In Benidorm Lucinda Brand managed to once again take a victory over Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, and that is the battle we should be looking at in Maasmechelen now. Puck Pietrse is going to be back at the start, after her crash at the national championships.

Inge van der Heijden, Aniek van Alphen, Manon Bakker, Leonie Bentveld, Shirin van Anrooij, Amandine Fouquenet, Marion Norbert Riberolle, Sara Casasola, Blanka Kata Vas, Zoe Bäckstedt and Marie Schreiber are all present as well.
