After moving to
Soudal - Quick-Step over the recent off-season,
Mikel Landa has already been making a positive impression, including a second-placed finish at the Volta a Catalunya behind Tadej Pogacar.
The main reason Landa was signed however, was to bolster the team's climbing ranks and support
Remco Evenepoel as the Belgian looks towards the
Tour de France for the first time in his career. "I am very motivated by the Tour. I think this team is growing and creating a great group around Evenepoel," the Spaniard tells his team optimistically. "We can fight to win the Tour or for a podium and that motivates me a lot."
