Arnaud De Lie's debut at the
Paris-Roubaix race was a mixed experience, as he finished in 50th place despite facing several obstacles that impacted his performance.
“I felt strong, and I really enjoyed it today. Unfortunately, I punctured in the Arenberg forest but I kept fighting,” he said on his team’s website. He did not give up and once again was back on his bike. “Eventually, I could still return in the bunch that would sprint for 15th.”
It appeared that luck was not on his side as he encountered the same difficulty once more. “But sadly, I punctured again on the final sector. It’s a pity but this was a nice first taste of Hell.” He will next be seen in De Brabantse Pijl.
