Vuelta a Espana: Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert rider Jan Hirt tests positive for Covid-19

Jan Hirt of Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert will not participate in the sixth stage of the Vuelta a España. It was confirmed via social media that the rider had tested positive for Covid-19.
"Unfortunately, Jan Hirt will not be at the start of the sixth stage after delivering a positive test for COVID-19 this morning," Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert writes on social media. "We have been closely monitoring Jan Hirt's situation for the last few days until a test this morning showed the presence of Covid-19. Jan showed mild symptoms and was immediately isolated from the rest of the group. He will withdraw from this Vuelta."
Hirt finished last in the fifth stage and ranked 167th GC. Thirty-six minutes and 16 seconds behind the overall leader Rudy Molard.
