Vuelta a Castilla y Leon 2024 | Caleb Ewan powers to victory in bunch sprint

In a frantic finale to the 2024 Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, Team Jayco AlUla's Caleb Ewan has powered to the sprint victory.

With four riders attacking and forming the breakaway of the day, including three Spaniards and a Frenchman. The last survivor of the break turned out to be Carlos Garcia Pierna, brother of Raul Garcia Pierna. With 16 kilometres to go though, he too had been caught by the peloton.

As such, the peloton was all together heading into the finale. In the sprint, Caleb Ewan was first to make a move and there was no stopping the Australian sprinter from firing to victory ahead of Davide Cimolai.
