With three stages down at the 2024 Volta a Catalunya, Tadej Pogacar's has overall victory all but officially sewn up already barring accident or miracle.
Taking a second stage win on stage 3's summit finish, Pogacar left all his rivals in his dust on the final climb after another destructive attack. Behind the UAE Team Emirates leader, Mikel Landa was again 'best of the rest', clear of the pack but not able to follow Pogacar, now 2:27 down in the overall but extending his advantage over the likes Aleksandr Vlasov, Lenny Martinez and Chris Harper in the battle for the podium.
Completing the top-10 are some very big names in Grand Tour cycling. Enric Mas, Sepp Kuss, Wout Poels, Egan Bernal and Joao Almeida.
