Stage 3 of the Tour of Oman had a tough summit finish where Matteo Jorgenson took the victory, however the finale was almost wrecked by a failure in the barriers next to the finish, as a wind gust blew them all over the road only meters away from the finish.
As the broadcast showed the likes of former race winners Alexey Lutsenko and Jan Hirt suffer through the finish line just outside the Top10, the barriers right behind them flew over the road due to a gust of wind. Although quickly fixed the barriers were close to hitting several riders, with possible high consequences if that were to happen.
