For the second straight day, a rather quiet stage at the 2023 Tour de France turned incredibly dramatic in the final few kilometres. Although stage 3 only saw the threat of crashes, stage 4 sadly saw multiple riders hit the deck.
Fabio Jakobsen was ruled out of the finish, crashing with just over 1km to go. He wouldn't be the only rider down either with two further crashes taking down plenty of riders in the final kilometre. From those who managed to stay upright it was Jasper Philipsen that emerged victorious, narrowly holding off the charge of Caleb Ewan to take his second straight stage win and move into the Green Jersey.
