The Tour de France had been explosive and dramatic until today, but stage 17 was a whole other picture. The queen stage devastated the peloton and saw Tadej Pogacar implode on the Col de la Loze as Jonas Vingegaard sealed the overall classification.
The 28-kilometer ascent proved too harsh at the end of the day for Pogacar who had a bad day on the bike. Vingegaard had a strong ascent taking enough time to now have a comfortable lead, whilst Felix Gall won the stage out of a luxury breakaway which included many GC contenders and Top10 riders.
