Completing his set of Amstel Gold Race podiums, Tom Pidcock has added victory in 2024 to his 3rd place in 2023 and that controversial 2nd back in 2021, following a thrilling final sprint for the line.
Entering the final kilometre alongside Tiesj Benoot, Marc Hirschi and Mauri Vansevenant, Pidcock was positioned in second in the quartet as they came into the final few hundred metres. Vansevenant opened things up with the INEOS Grenadiers man quickly powering around. As he looked to tire however, Hirschi fired up the inside but sadly for the Swiss, Pidcock was just able to hold on for victory. See it for yourself down below!
