The talented Colombian rider, Egan Bernal, has concluded his cycling season after his participation in La Vuelta a España 2023. However, he has wasted no time in his preparation for next year and was recently spotted climbing the famous Alto de Patios, which caused a great stir and excitement among amateur cyclists in Bogotá.

Egan Bernal, the only Colombian champion of the Tour de France, decided to be present at the iconic mountain pass of Bogota, the Alto de Patios, which crosses part of the savannah and is located in the municipality of La Calera. The presence of the cyclist from Zipaquirá generated a massive traffic jam in the area, as cyclists and fans crowded to witness the champion's passing.

The INEOS Grenadiers rider himself shared the moment on his Instagram account, accompanying the publication with the message: "Bogota did not disappoint, first group climb to Patios with a rest of people. A great training session today through the savannah with a fire at the end and a lot of PRs around", referring to the personal times that cyclists set in certain segments of the route.

Bernal, who is under contract with the Ineos team until 2026, continues to work on his recovery and is expected to be back to his best next season. In addition, there is speculation about the possible incorporation of renowned riders to the British team, such as Belgian Remco Evenepoel.
