Twelve months ago, Tadej Pogacar was on the attack for 100km en route to winning the Rainbow Jersey in Zurich. Is the Slovenian superstar trying to go even better and from even further in Kigali this time around?
With around 105km to go of one of the most attritional World Championship courses in history, Pogacar has launched a massive attack on the Mont Kigali, destroying the vast majority of his rivals in the main group with only his two UAE Team Emirates - XRG teammates Juan Ayuso and Isaac del Toro able to keep in any kind of contention with the reigning world champion.
