Tadej Pogacar has launched the first move of the 2024 Tour de France's fight for the Maillot Jaune on stage 2. Despite the ferocity of the UAE Team Emirates leader's attack however, Jonas Vingegaard was straight on the wheel.
As Adam Yates began to set the pace in the GC group on the second ascent of the San Luca climb, things exploded with Geraint Thomas, Primoz Roglic and more losing time. Then, with 10.6km to go, Tadej Pogacar made his move, with Jonas Vingegaard straight on the back wheel as the pair rode off away from all over challengers.
