With 38 kilometers to go at this year's
Paris-Roubaix, the race winning gap opened up as
Tadej Pogacar fell on one of the 30 cobbled sectors of the Hell of the North, whilst Mathieu van der Poel stayed upright and rode to victory into the velodrome. The fall did not hold physical consequences, but spectators on the scene recorded the moment through a different point of view.
The crash happened whilst Pogacar and van der Poel were already isolated in front, and lacking the pure power to drop the Dutchman, the Slovenian looked to take risks in the sector's corners to try and make the difference.
