VIDEO: Remco Evenepoel returns to scene of 2020 horror crash

Remco Evenepoel is currently one of the biggest names in the sport of cycling but back in 2020, when he was just beginning his career, the Belgian's time in the peloton almost came to a premature end after a horror crash.

Now over three years later, Evenepoel, now a multiple World Champion, Grand Tour winner, two-time Liège-Bastogne-Liège winner and much more, he has returned to the scene of the incident in the latest upload to his YouTube channel. 

“How do I feel now? Nothing special. It's not too bad," says Evenepoel at the descent of the Muro du Sormano, where he broke his hip. “It feels a bit strange to be back here. I won't say I'm really emotional, because I've already given it a place. But of course it's not the nicest feeling. It brings back bad memories and pain.”

“But it's good to close the chapter," concludes the Soudal - Quick-Step rider. "That is why we are here, to recover 100 percent from this." Check it out in the video below!
