Nairo Quintana debuted in the 2023 season at the Colombian National Championships with a great performance. He was looking for gold against great rivals and got bronze after finishing the tough race behind Esteban Chaves and Daniel Martínez.

Nairoman went up to the podium to collect his precious medal and was extremely moved. He still does not have a team (he is going to travel to Europe these days) and his feat of finishing on the podium and receiving the love of his compatriots made him cry.
