The Giro d'Italia has been neutralized during stage 6, as the wet roads have led to a mass crash that has affected many riders. Richard Carapaz and Jai Hindley were among those affected.
The fall happened with 72 kilometers to go on a descent that was not actually technical. But in a straightforward section of road, two separate falls happened in the space of a few meters. The second one involved a lot of riders, and it was possible to see Richard Carapaz surrounded by plenty teammates. Jai Hindley was also surrounded by several teammates. The race was shortly after neutralized, likely due to the necessity of ambulances on site.
