Stage 11 of the 2023 Vuelta a Espana saw a frantic battle for the stage win between the surviving riders of the day's breakaway with a thrilling final kilometre seeing Jesus Herrada take the first Spanish win of this year's race.
With Jonathan Klever Caicedo attacking clear, Geraint Thomas led the charge from the group behind, only to see Cofidis's Jesus Herrada launch a spirit-breaking attack that no one could live with. Catching and passing Caicedo with Romain Gregoire and Andreas Kron rounding out the podium.
