VIDEO: Finlay Pickering out of the Tour of the Alps with concussion after scary downhill crash

With plenty of climbing on the opening stage of the 2024 Tour of the Alps, there was also a pacey downhill towards the finish line. As riders pushed themselves to the limit, crashes were probably inevitable and sadly for Finlay Pickering, he was one of those to go down.

The 21-year-old of Bahrain - Victorious overshot a corner on the descent and scarily flew off the road and down a bank. Whilst Tobias Foss was celebrating victory up ahead, Pickering was forced out of the race and taken away for medical checks.

"Unfortunately, Finlay Pickering crashed out of the Tour of the Alps on stage 1 after suffering concussion," updated the Bahrain - Victorious team late last night. "At the moment, he is undergoing further examinations. Get well soon Finlay!"
