The GP de Denain saw Juan Sebastián Molano taking a surprising win after resisting the cobbled sectors, however some of the attention in the race as came for the wrong reasons, as Stan Dewulf crashed into a pile of manure.
The incident happened towards the end of the race as the winning groups began to form. Dewulf was riding in a cobbled sector when he lost control of his bike and crashed off-road. Unfortunately for him, the AG2R CItroën Team rider went straight into a massive pile of manure that filled the road besides it.
