The Vuelta a Espana saw quite an unusual day today as the riders saw the stage having it's final kilometers neutralized in terms of time, which saw breakaway rider Andrea Piccolo take on the red jersey, and Andreas Kron the stage win as the GC riders took the finale easily.
It was on the rainy Alto de Montjuic that the stage was decided, there Andreas Kron put on an explosive move which earned him the victory of his career, with Kaden Groves arriving second, winning the sprint from the chasing group.
